Who We Are
The 912 Group's Vision for Savannah
Welcome to the heart of The 912 Group. Founded in Savannah, Georgia, we are more than event organizers—we are cultural architects committed to shaping a vibrant, inclusive ecosystem for artists, musicians, and creative entrepreneurs in the Lowcountry. Our long-term vision is to serve as the backbone of Savannah’s artistic soul, nurturing talent and amplifying cultural expression citywide.
Through festivals, partnerships, and education, we support local creators while contributing to Savannah’s reputation as a destination for grassroots innovation and independent music. From River Street to Starland, our mission is deeply rooted in this city’s creative rhythm.

The 912 Group's primary goal is to create a sustainable and dynamic environment where independent artists and music professionals can thrive. We provide the infrastructure, mentorship, and visibility required for creatives to take bold steps in their careers—all while enriching the local scene. Through strategic planning, production services, and cultural outreach, we work daily to elevate Savannah’s artistic landscape.

Explore Our Three Tiers
At The 912 Group, we organize our mission into three powerful tiers, each designed to address a specific need in Savannah’s creative ecosystem. These tiers reflect our holistic approach to music, business, and community building.
🎸 Rock 'n' Roll Event Planners
This tier is the engine behind our festivals, concerts, and showcases. Whether it’s a small venue in Starland or a citywide celebration like Dairy Daze, our team handles every production detail with precision and passion. We build the stage—artists bring the magic.
💰 Your Music, Your Money
Artists deserve to profit from their work. In this tier, we guide musicians through financial literacy, contract navigation, funding strategies, and royalty collection. From setting up LLCs to registering with PROs, we make sure your money and music stay yours.
🌱 Communitas
More than a concept, Communitas is our commitment to giving back. This tier focuses on cultural advocacy, volunteerism, and public art initiatives that uplift underserved voices in Savannah. Through storytelling, service, and strategic alliances, we foster unity and cultural equity throughout the region.

Meet the Founders: Michael Edwards & Matt Toole
The 912 Group was founded by two Savannah-based visionaries—Michael Edwards and Matt Toole—whose shared commitment to the arts, community, and creative equity drives every project we take on.
Michael Edwards
Michael Edwards is a veteran attorney with over three decades of legal experience. As a partner at Thomerson, Jones & Edwards P.C., he specializes in civil litigation and entertainment law, offering essential guidance on copyright, royalties, and artist representation.
He’s also an active community organizer in Savannah—serving as co-chair for Bike Walk Savannah and working with organizations like the Kicklighter Resource Center to create more accessible and sustainable neighborhoods.
Matt Toole
A Savannah native, sculptor, and educator, Matt Toole brings a hands-on creative legacy to The 912 Group. With a background in metalwork, public art, and experiential design, he has exhibited globally and taught at institutions like SCAD and Georgia Southern University.
Matt is the founder of Toole Sculpture Works and the “Toole Skool” educational studio, and is known for immersive works like the “Pop-Cycled Apocalypse” installation at Green Truck Pub.
Shared Vision for Savannah's Arts Scene
Michael and Matt formed The 912 Group to bridge the creative and operational sides of the cultural economy. Together, they’ve launched community-rooted experiences like Dairy Daze Fall Music Festival, with the goal of amplifying local talent, supporting working artists, and creating a stronger cultural foundation across Savannah and the Lowcountry.
Whether in sculpture studios, legal offices, festival grounds, or neighborhood meetups—these two founders are building an arts organization where Savannah’s creative class is empowered, protected, and elevated.
